We've Been Busy Getting Ready

So much to do, so little time. We have been busy attending shows in Canada & The U.S. looking at new equipment. Wow is the shopping list big.....and getting bigger all the time. So far we have purchased, 20 new 20'x20' high peak tents, a half dozen replacement tent tops and 20 pop up canopies. Thousands of new drinking glasses, 1100 bistro chairs, cutlery, funky serving platters and bowls, some with a granite look, hundreds of feet of pipe & drape for trade shows, 1000 feet of new white table skirts, funky stainless steel and white plexiglass beverage bars and so on. And we aren't don yet! You told us what you wanted... and we listened. Upgraded equipment along with some new lines, all for the home owner, caterer or corporate event. Some fun gigs!!

This past weekend was the Burl/Oak Bridal Show located at the Burlington Convention Centre on Burloak Rd. Year after year Pat's Party Rentals is chosen as the exclusive supplier. Our crew set up close to 100 booths for vendors in black drape and constructed 100's of sq/ft of stage covered in white glossy vinyl for the fashion show. Not only were we the supplier to the show again, we also had a booth in the show for the Sat & Sun event. Hundreds of brides to be (and some of the guys) came out to the show and made it a great weekend. Merry Xmas to everyone!!

Well Xmas is just 2 days away. Everyone here at PPR has had a very busy and challenging month filled with lots of work to get done. We would like to take this moment to say Thank You for choosing us again this holiday season for all of your rental equipment.

Just to give you an idea of how busy we have been.....This week Dec 21st-24th we have processed approx 500 rental orders. That number is in store pick ups and deliveries combined. That's a lot of dirty dishes next week!! I'll post some pics of the aftermath!!

Just a reminder to order your New Year's Eve party favour kits complete with hats, tiaras, noisemakers, throws etc. Available in kits for 10 up to 100. Or stop in and by individual pieces.

A Day For Our War Vets.

On Monday November 2nd 2009 MEDIchair Halton hosted an annual complimentary luncheon to honour more than 700 hundred War Veterans and their guests at the Oakville Conference Centre on Wyecroft Rd. Many Veterans are transported in from neighbouring long-term care facilities and senior living environments to enjoy a brief and moving flag and bagpipe ceremony, authentic museum displays, door prizes and live big band music. We were fortunate enough to have been able to donate some of our products and services for what was a very special day to remember. Norm, Shannon and Monika from Pat's Party Rentals were in attendance early in the morning to deliver and set up donated equipmemnt to the function and Paul Storey from PPR also stayed for the entire day and volunteered helping veterans inside the hall to their seats, serving lunch and refreshments. We welcome all Veterans, our nation’s heroes to this luncheon and welcome your call if you have any questions, or know of a Veteran who would like to attend. With the festive season fast approaching, we are getting prepared for the high demand for all of our tablewares including the ever popular champagne flute. It seems we never have enough for Xmas & New Years. Not this year!! Just in..........2000 brand new champagne flutes. Ok maybe we went a little overboard! If you would like to purchase some, I think we may have some extras, haha. Give us a call if you do.

This afternoon Kim and myself attended the Burlington Chamber of Commerce Business after 5 networking event. It was hosted by Dodsworth & Brown Funeral home on New St. It was a great chance to unwind after a long day with a drink and some great food supplied by local caterers Leave It To Us. We try and attend these networking events held every month in Burlington and Oakville. We have gained new clients from attending and it is a great opportunity to see lots of our current clients and catch up with them and their business' too. I encourage business owners/managers to get involved and join your local Chamber of Commerce. See you tomorrow night at Cogeco on Syscon rd for Oak C.O.C. BA5.
